Description
This special ale is styled after the beloved Flemish Red ales of Belgium. A long-anticipated release from Ladyface’s “Ingenuity Series of Barrel-aged Inventions,” this ale was aged two years in Napa Cabernet barrels. Flamberge --meaning "flame blade”--is an undulating long sword; our red-hued, barrel-aged invention is a complex sour ale with tannic and sharply tart sensations that ripple across the palette. A high carbonation level yields a dry effervescence and makes this style a traditional pairing companion to the Belgian classic dish, Carbonnade de Bœuf. It is also a perfect ale to slice through a creamy cheesecake!
