Description
Olde Number 33 is a big, smooth, dark ale that is sort of an Imperial Sticke Alt. It is based on the recipe for our Olde Number 22 German Alt but all of the ingredients were increased by 50% for a fuller, richer, higher-gravity brew. Although dark in color, the Olde Number 33 is not brewed with roasted malts so there is no bitter malt bite. The malty palate is rich and creamy without being too heavy and is nicely balanced with a moderate hop bitterness and aroma.
Olde Number 33 was created and brewed by our brewery operations manager Dannyboy Peron and his brewing mentor and trusty sidekick Nick Ramsey in honor of db’s 33rd birthday. We generally only pull it out a couple times a year for special occasions so be sure to grab it when it’s around.
