Description

A golden abbey-style ale made with Trappist yeast and light Belgian candy sugar for a traditional, malty Trappist character. Rich and complex with flavors of toasted bread, tropical fruits, banana and honey. Spicy hops and medium carbonation balance the sweetness for a very drinkable high gravity ale.

Belgian trappist monks have been brewing big, delicious, malty ales since the 11th century. Dubbels and Tripels are high gravity brews made with Belgian candy sugar. Triples are bigger, drier and lighter in color while Dubbels are darker, sweeter, and a bit more mild. Trappist-style ales brewed in secular breweries are known as Abbey Ales.
